Hi Aaron,
We haven't met but saw your tweet and this is the kind of work I do with coalitions and service providers so it caught my attention. This is a great outline for the course - very rich and spot on for getting started strong.
It got me thinking, I wonder if something I've been working on would be helpful so I'll offer it here. I like to think of the strategies in terms of connecting, informing (information), communicating, collaborating and publishing. Social Media does get a bit messy but these areas seem to corral things nicely.
So I did a modification to a Who & Why? Worksheet originally developed by David Wilcox (creative commons) to reflect this thinking and then developed a second worksheet, Where and How? to help define where existing strategies are and then links between them (or lack thereof).
These can be used personally or by a group/organization. I value your feedback and insights. These are creative commons so feel free to improve and strengthen if they fit and have value for your course.
It is nice to find your blog and make your acquaintance, virtually :o)
